The Panama Canal is an engineering wonder with more than a century of history. During this half day tour, you will visit the Miraflores Locks visitor’s center – with its three different main attractions: The Museum, the movie, and the lookout point.
In the Museum you will be able to view documents, instruments and pictures related with the construction and operation of the Canal; the movie is a short film that summarizes the 100 years of history of the Canal; and from the lookout point, it is possible to observe ships maneuvering through the chambers.
On the way back, you will also visit the Panama Canal Administration Building to enjoy of the amazing murals that adorn the rotunda of the building. These murals are a narration of the history of the Canal and the intense manual labor that went into its construction. It is a way of commemorating the history of the Canal and all those who worked on its construction and operations.
